Local airports:
Most major airlines have operations at San Diego
International Airport-Lindbergh Field (SAN), located in
downtown San Diego, which is the largest airport in the
county. A small local airport, McClellan-Palomar Airport (CRQ/CLD),
is located in the city of Carlsbad, a 15-25 minute drive from the
College.
United Express operates flights
through this airport between Los Angeles (LAX) and Carlsbad.

Public transportation:
Inland North County's commuter train, the Sprinter, has
a station directly across the street from main entrance to
the main campus. The Coaster, the commuter train that
serves coastal cities in the county, connects with the
Sprinter at the Oceanside station. A bus station for North
County Transit District buses is also located at the main
entrance to the College.

to visit the North County Transit District's website for
schedules and additional information.
If you are
using public transportation, please ensure that your transportation schedule will allow
you to arrive earlier
than the time of your appointment.

Travel reimbursement:
Palomar College is unable to reimburse candidates for
interview expenses with the following exception: the
District may reimburse those finalists
for full-time faculty and director-level and above administrator
positions who live greater than 150 miles from the College
for eligible travel expenses. If you are
selected as a finalist for one of these types of positions
and are eligible for travel reimbursement, Human Resource Services will
notify you of your eligibility at the time that your second-level interview is
scheduled, and we will explain what expenses we can
reimburse and what documentation is required for
reimbursement.
