Geography and Environmental Studies are programs in the Earth, Space & Environmental Sciences department at Palomar College. We offer degree programs and a wide range of courses in the exciting fields of Physical Geography and Human Geography as well as a distinguished Geographic Information Systems (GIS) program that incorporates the latest in geospatial and cartographic technologies. We also offer a certificate in the cutting-edge technologies in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (drones). Aiming for a bachelor’s degree? We offer transfer pathways to the bachelor’s degree programs at CSUSM in both Geography and Environmental Studies. We also lead adventurous field courses to such places as Big Sur, Catalina Island, and Anza Borrego and Joshua Tree, and are very excited to offer a field course that allows you to earn a certificate as a Certified California Naturalist. With geography you can make a difference in the world!
