About PCTV

History:

Palomar College’s Educational Television program began offering college courses in 1975. The first telecourse produced was a two-unit Art seminar entitled Romance of Clay. The PCTV studio was significantly remodeled in 1995, yielding a “state of the art” production facility designed to meet the needs of the growing program.

The last decade has seen an increase in the use of the studio by RTV faculty and students. Advanced RTV classes produce North County News, Prep Sports Live, and Prime Time Palomar from our PCTV facility. These programs are the backbone of the RTV curriculum.
