Table and chair furniture is unique in that it is highly interactive with people who use them. Design and joinery must consider comfort, esthetics and structure. This program will prepare students to make a living manufacturing table and chair furniture.  The study of historic period pieces will enable students to apply traditional methods of construction to modern and contemporary designs. The finest furniture in the world is hand made and yet production methods can/will be applied to increase efficiency and profit.
